Frøydis Geithus (NOR)

Photographer

I have always been a photographer, since I got my first camera as an 8 yrs old. I grew up with painters and artists in my family, and I have always been encouraged to express myself in a creative way.

Growing up by the fjords in the western part of Norway, nature has always been important to me, and my biggest source of inspiration. So when I decided to specialize in weddings, it felt natural  to go back to my roots. To the landscapes where I grew up.

Now my wedding photography has taken me around the world, and I pinch my arm now and then to make sure I'm not dreaming. I get paid to meet amazing people and document one of the most important days of their lives. I'm driven by the passion to create, and feel humbled to be able to make a living from something as fun and beautiful as people's happiness.

I can't wait to meet you all at Santorini. Being photographers and cinematographers, we're a brave bunch of people. Often living with our hearts on the outside, and autodidacts.

That's why gatherings like the Caldera Workshop, are so important. If you surround yourself with other creatives, it can make you see what is right there in front of you, in a different way. It's all in you, but sometimes you need some help to find it.
